Where Creativity Lives

PencilPoint TheatreWorks was inspired by From Around Here Productions. FAHP was launched in 2013 by Margie Bovee as the theater program of her 212 Arts Center, which was funded by the Cowan Slavin Foundation.

Together with Director Brian Cox and Producer Heather LaDuke, Margie attracted the area's most talented actors and amazing crew members.  They presented 9 original staged readings and plays as From Around Here Productions/212 Arts Center.  In 2016, Margie retired and Brian took the torch, launching Pencilpoint Theatreworks.

PencilPoint TheatreWorks, led by Artistic Director Brian Cox and the Board of Directors, is celebrating our heritage with opportunities for a growing group of artists and audiences to create and and enjoy theater and performing arts: devised theater, storytelling, short plays, playwriting and traditional and experimental full length plays.

Pencilpoint Theatreworks is dedicated to fostering fresh theatrical work and to engaging under-served communities in the creation of original performance pieces that are reflective of their circumstances, experiences, and perspectives.
